Mission: The functions of the Association are: 1. To provide Ministerial Justice of the Peace services to the public of New Zealand at no charge. These services include certifying copies of documents, witnessing signatures, administering statutory declarations and affidavits, and taking citizenship ceremonies. The Association operates a Service Centre Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays , Saturdays, 10.00 am to 12.00 pm, at Blenheim Library, and at Picton Library every Wednesday, 11.00am-1.00pm. 2. To provide at no cost Judicial services to the Blenheim District Court when called upon. These services involve presiding over prosecutions where accorded jurisdiction under the Criminal Procedures Act 2011 including traffic offences, and bail / remand applications. 3. To provide at no cost education and support to Issuing Officers authorised under the Search and Surveillance Act 2012 to consider applications for the issue of search warrants, production orders and summonses.
