Mainline Steam Heritage Trust

To encourage and foster the restoration and preservation of historical steam and other locomotives, rolling stock and other railway equipment and to provide premises for the maintenance, storage and display of said locomotives and equipment To promote and encourage the running of historical steam and other locomotives in New Zealand and to further the awareness to the public of New Zealand's railway heritage. Equipment for the restoration, repair and maintenance of said locomotives, rolling stock and ancillary equipment and to make such facilities available for display for educational and recreations purposes for the general public. Without restricting the scope of the foregoing, to provide financial and other assistance for the above purpose.
