Mahamudra Centre For Universal Unity

As a member of the Foundation of the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), Mahamudra Centre operates under the guidance of our Spiritual Director , Kyabje Thubten Zopa Rinpoche. The objects of Mahamudra Centre include: 1. TO provide authentic Buddhist teachings and an environment conducive to the study and practice of those teachings. 2. TO provide retreat facilities/accommodation for those wanting to engage in intensive study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism and other spiritual seekers. 3. TO bring to NZ, teachers from the lineage of Tibetan Buddhism derived from Guru Shakyamuni Buddha and passed through Atisha down to Tsongkapa. 4. TO provide universal education programmes including meditation and mind transformation. 5. TO develop universal education programmes based on Buddhist principles for the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction To assist finance or support any charitable organisations or activities in NZ of a nature in harmony with Buddhist principles.
