Lions ‘serve’ the community, help meeting humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding and goodwill. The Lions core belief is ‘The community is what we make it’. Lions motto is ‘We serve’. We do this by engaging in community and environmental programmes, youth and health initiatives, disaster relief and through answering requests for assistance from individuals, groups and organisations. Lions also play an advocacy role to promote the needs of people, promoting peace and international relations.
