To administer the Maori Community Development Act (1962) considering & actioning matters relevant to the social, cultural & economic advancement of the Maori people of Wairoa. To promote, encourage & assist Maori to improve, advance & maintain their physical, economic, industrial, educational, social, moral & spiritual well being. To collaborate & assist Government agencies & other organisations in the placement of Maori into: Employment, Education, Vocational Training, Housing, Improved living conditions and Improved Health.
