Hokio Progressive Association (HPA) Rules lists its purpose as: a. To improve and beautify the Hokio Beach, Hokio Township and the environs thereof b. To provide, improve and extend the provision, improvements and extension of the amenities at the Hokio Beach Township and adjoining beach and district c. To protect all property and amenities acquired by or provided for the Association d. To organise and encourage social activities and recreation in the Hokio Township and adjoining district e. To act in co-operation with the government, Horowhenua District Council, Manawatu Wanganui Regional Council or any other organisation for the promotion of these objects
