To purchase land for the purpose of sustainable management, conservation, and restoration of natural habitats, while allowing recreational access. To develop and maintain an inventory of ecological values of the Trust land, including significant indigenous vegetation and fauna, and outstanding natural features. To encourage and promote the conservation, enhancement, and restoration of the natural environment of Banks Peninsula.
