Heritage Park Rhododendron Charitable Trust
About
(a) To maintain, promote, improve and perpetuate the use of that land held at Kimbolton known as Heritage Park as a rhododendron garden through ownership of the property and management of an endowment fund; (b) To maintain Heritage Park as a rhododendron garden open to the public throughout the year; (c) To appreciate and support the initial efforts and donation of plants that were made in trust to the Park, donors realising that their private gardens did not have the permanence of a purposefully designed national rhododendron garden. (d) To engage in activities based on Heritage Park that encourage interest in and development, of the genus rhododendron, scientific research into its breeding and culture, and the promotion of such other purposes as may advance the culture of the genus; (e) To beautify Heritage Park and to conserve and provide a sanctuary for native and exotic flora, ornamental trees, shrubs and plants in addition to the genus rhododendron; (f) To engage in activities that will encourage Heritage Park to be a common meeting ground for rhododendron enthusiasts and the public; (g) To undertake activities that encourages public interest in the genus rhododendron and disseminates a better knowledge of horticulture; (h) To generate income sufficient to ensure the development and maintenance in perpetuity of Heritage Park, and to allow the Trust to undertake other activities to achieve its objects. (i) To maintain the garden in accordance with accepted horticultural practices.
