The Objects of the Organisation are as follows: 4.1.1 To promote the interests, advancement, independence and well-being of all people who have an Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) in New Zealand, and their families, 4.1.2 To raise awareness of the health, social, educational, economic, environmental and cultural barriers encountered by people in New Zealand who have APD, 4.1.3 To research and extend our understanding of APD, 4.1.4 To promote the need for diagnosing APD in New Zealanders; 4.1.5 To facilitate communication and co-ordination among the professional sectors concerned with APD including but not limited to, Health and Disability organization staff, Educational staff and service providers such as Audiologists. 4.1.6 To facilitate opportunities for all people in New Zealand with Auditory Processing Disorders to communicate and participate to their fullest potential.
