HB Volunteer Coastguard Trust owns the Westshore building that HB Volunteer Coastguard operate as a Marine Search and Rescue and Training Centre. this includes administration promotion and development of Coastguard Operations in the Hawke's Bay area, saving lives at sea and aiding vessels and members of the public requiring assistance at sea. Education boating public in marine safety, raising awareness in the general public of CG objectives. Develop and train operational volunteers - skippers, crew, radio operators, search and rescue coordinators. Be an active member of RCNZCF and Coastguard Eastern Region (CER)
