"(a) To promote, encourage and assist persons in New Zealand with disabilities (physical, intellectual, or mental) to live in their own homes and/or have control of their lives. (b) May include, but not be limited to, gaining employment (paid, unpaid or self-employment), participating in hobbies and leisure activities, having friendships and a sense of belonging to a community, keeping healthy, freedom to make their own choices, and to be safe and secure. (c) By providing grants and other support or assistance to any person, project or programme where it is consistent with the Trust's charitable purposes. (d) Such other charitable purposes as the Trustees may decide for the benefit of persons with disabilities (physical, intellectual, or mental)."
