Give a Kid a Blanket Charitable Trust Board

Our main purpose is to relieve poverty and help those in crisis and in need. We do this by mainly working with frontline community agencies that make requests on behalf of their clients. We take no private requests. Particularly, we: • In winter, collect and gift new and excellent-condition pre-loved blankets and other items of warmth to those experiencing poverty or who are in need across the wider Auckland area. This is done in a way that indicates to the receiver they are cared about and valued by the wider community. • Supply family care packs to Northshore Hospital's intensive care department. • Year-round, we offer support to Waitemata Police, Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) Waitematā community health staff, Family Action (a refuge and counselling service), Ki tua o Matariki, Oranga Tamariki, Plunket West Auckland, Inpatient Starship Social Workers and Pillars. - Run 'Potluck Community Kai' a monthly community meal in Ranui • Support ‘Feed the Homeless Auckland'
