Future Te Aroha

Future Te Aroha was formed to purchase the former Bendon Factory for community use. Aims -To create a gathering place that is a focus for the community, creating cross-cultural contacts, activities and community partnerships. To make the building accessible for all members of the community. To run and operate a community centre for and on behalf of the community. To develop a community resource for education, learning programmes, community and cultural activities for the benefit of the wider community. Future Te Aroha is a charitable trust which governs the Future Te Aroha Centre. The trust runs after school activities, classes, holiday programmes, children's discos, presents community events and provides spaces for community use (eg community groups, music groups, counselling, health Waikato, school groups and drop in centre). It also acts as a resource for the community.
