Mission: Future Beef New Zealand Trust (FBNZ) is an exciting initiative which has been created to reshape and re-ignite the New Zealand beef industry's youth involvement, at a national level. FBNZ has been developed jointly by Performance Beef Breeders New Zealand and industry sponsors. FBNZ is a commercially orientated programme which is not breed specific and is not focussed on the stud industry. Future Beef's programmes target young people, between the ages of eight and twenty-four, with the intention of influencing a wide range of youth, with varying degrees of education and ability. Future Beef is essentially about inspiring and supporting the farmers and industry leaders of the future. We aim to educate young people about the beef industry and to further develop the skills and abilities they already have. If our industry is to remain progressive and sustainable it is essential that young people be given every opportunity to consider careers in agriculture.
