Friends of Resthaven Foundation Trust

The Resthaven Foundation has been established to advance the care of the aging person within our community – specifically Cambridge and the greater Waipa and Matamata/Piako communities. The needs of the aging person are changing as: o People live longer and social norms place a greater focus on moving away institutionalized care to active, independent living o The gap between expectations and available funding increases o Families become more dispersed and therefore has less capacity to provide support to elderly members of their family the Friends of Resthaven Trust has been established to foster community care for the ageing person on multiple levels.
