About
a) To collect, record and preserve the history of the region in which the Society is located and of the people who have resided therein and/or contributed to such history. b) To record and encourage the preservation of any building feature or trees of historical or notable interest. c) To acquire books, papers, documents, archives, pictures, cassettes, films, computer discs, videos and artifacts. d) To form or assist in forming a Museum for the housing of such items and archival material and to maintain the contents. e) To encourage amongst the general public an interest in said region. f) To acquire by purchase, lease or otherwise any real or personal property necessary or desirable for the purposes of the Society and to enter into and carry out contracts and agreements in connection with the purpose of the Society. g) To Publish or assist in the publication of books, periodicals, pamphlets or other matter in connection with the purpose of the Society.
