To promote interest in fire prevention, fire safety and fire protection To promote and participate in the development and revision of Standards, NZ Building Codes and Codes of Practise To participate in any matters of legislation and regulation by Government applicable to Fire Protection To encourage educational programmes in Fire Protection in teaching institutions To assist persons who desire to obtain education, qualification or training in Fire Protection To encourage the observance of acceptable standards and sound and ethical practise in Fire Protection To distribute information to members to assist in the promotion of Fire Protection To encourage a Code of Ethics and good business practise amongst members To promote and encourage the acceptance of the organisation and to obtain financial support for the furthering of its aims and interests To cooperate with Territorial Authorities, NZ Fire Service, insurers, those with design or architectural and engineering interests.
