The purpose of the Trust is to benefit the present and future generations by supporting community initiatives that promote: • the relief of poverty, particularly for children • the provision of sporting facilities, public amenities and recreational facilities • the protection of the natural environment and quality of human & animal life • community-based education of all generations to achieve a healthy, balanced and fit lifestyle (including through training, research and by providing scholarships • any other purposes that benefit the community at large In attaining its purposes the trust shall recognise the views and expectations of Tangata Whenua.
