To specifically educate children and their families about safety around dogs with the aim of reducing the number of dog bites received by children within Southland and other areas of New Zealand. Teaching will take place in pre-schools, kindergartens, schools and be extended to community established for the benefit of children at no charge to the group or its members. To further bring awareness of the risks and causes of dog bites to the wider community and educate about methods of prevention to maximise understanding and minimise the risk of dog bites.
