TO ASSIST PEOPLE AND FAMILIES IN THE WIDER RURAL COMMUNITY WHO ARE EXPERIENCING ANY ADVERSE EVENT – FINANCIAL, CLIMATIC OR PERSONAL – TO MORE EFFECTIVELY OVERCOME THE DIFFICULTIES. This objective is usually met and achieved through: • Analysing situations to develop and advise on options and actions available. • Working with financiers to resolve financial problems. • Negotiating with creditors. • Liaising with and making referrals to other professional advisers and local support groups. • Being an advocate for a client. • Carrying out, with or on behalf of other agencies, any specific assistance programs in the rural community. . Providing support and assistance to people experiencing mental distress
