There is an increased necessity for Whanau, Hapu, Iwi, (families) to create community grown solutions to increase community resilience. Therefore, the purpose of the Trust is to address and facilitate the management and oversight of a range of community grown initiatives that enhance the health and wellbeing of 'ALL WHANAU (FAMILIES), residing in Te Tai Tokerau. This group would encompass Kaumatua (elderly men), Kuia (elderly women), Pakeke (adults, Rangatahi (young people) and Pepi (babies).
