Dominican Sisters Of Wanganui
About
The chief aim of the Dominican Sisters of Wanganui is the attainment of personal holiness: that is, of union with God in perfect charity. The special aim for which the Dominican Order has been brought into being, by the Providence of God, within the bosom of the Church is the salvation of souls by the ministry of teaching and preaching. The particular work of the congregation is the education of youth in conformity with the Gospel law and the prescriptions of the Holy Catholic Church. The official work is to maintain and teach schools for girls of all grades, both for boarders and day scholars; as well as Teachers' Colleges, Hostels, and other institutions for the promotion of education and instruction, according to the law and mind of the Holy Catholic Church.
