The principal aim is to collect and disseminate information of benefit to New Zealand consumers; and in doing so to advance the interests of subscribing members and all consumers. It achieves this by research, testing and investigations into matters of consumer interest and concern. It publishes the results on its website, magazine, in reports, pamphlets and other communications. In this way it promotes and advances public knowledge of consumer matters and also educates consumers of all ages
