Bush SuperGrans
About
Funding from Ministry of Social Development ceased as of 1/7/2017. We no longer hold government funding to provide our services. Despite the end of this contractual funding, Bush SuperGrans, (affiliated to Aotearoa SuperGrans Super Skills) continues to provide one – on – one and group mentoring support for families/individuals to learn basic life skills. The aim of this service is to build life skills, encourage participation in the community and a 'can do' attitude so that families/individuals are better able to care for themselves. It's all about "Helping people, to help themselves". Our SuperGrans mentor, confidentially at our place or theirs in; • Home management • Positive parenting & • Passing on life skills – (such as) sewing, gardening, preserving, menu planning, & budget cooking. Reconnecting people to our community
