Breast Cancer Foundation NZ is a Trust charity in the Health sector, based in Auckland, Auckland. Annual revenue: $7.0M NZD. Financial data as at July 2018.
Mission: Breast Cancer Foundation NZ (BCFNZ) was established for the purposes of eliminating deaths from breast cancer, as every year over 3,500 NZ’ers are diagnosed with breast cancer and over 650 women, and several men, die of breast cancer. We focus on 4 critical areas in our effort to reduce breast cancer deaths to zero: • Running awareness and education campaigns promoting the importance of early detection. • Investing in science and research to advance breast cancer detection and treatment. • Providing free and practical support to Kiwis affected by breast cancer. • Advocating for strong action from key NZ stakeholders and decision-makers to improve access to screening, diagnosis and treatment. Underpinning this work is our need to fundraise in order to deliver independent research, information, care and advocacy resources for the breast cancer community. Incidental to the purposes of the Foundation, the Foundation may: • Provide advisory services. • Provide policy advice to government
