The “Mission” of Birthright Wellington (BRW) is to promote "resilient, inspired children, youth and family/whānau that are led by one person. The purpose of Birthright is to facilitate the growth of confidence, development of living skills and a sense of well-being within the family unit. We aim to deliver services that will address disadvantages and empower families to use their strengths and those of the community to improve their outcomes. BRW believe that children and young people that are led by one person are entitled to the same “birth right” as all New Zealand children regardless of the circumstances these children were born into. That is, a good start in life, help in times of crisis and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
