Awhero Community Trust Board

The purpose and aims of the Trust shall be as follows:- (a) To facilitate the improvement of the physical, social, educational, cultural, spiritual and economic lives of the people of this community using a holistic approach and to provide an avenue for practical service primarily in the Waitakere Ward of Auckland City, but at all times within New Zealand. (b) To identify skills, strengths and resources of the community and help to direct these for the benefit of the whole community. (c) To collaborate with and support existing programmes and community networks in the development of a better community environment. (d) To improve community support systems and develop a strong independent internal sense of community care and concern. (e) To carry out such other charitable purposes within New Zealand as the Board of Trustees shall determine. The purpose of the trust may be articulated in a Vision Statement that may be amended from time to time through a majority decision of the Trustees
