To foster the musical passions of amateur and aspiring musicians and conductors who are students/alumni of any faculty of the University of Auckland; To foster and promote their study, practice and performance of orchestral and chamber works; To advance education of the public in orchestral and chamber music performance and composition through recitals, concerts and other such performances; and To foster a wider community of playing and sharing orchestral music in an enjoyable environment.
