Auckland Mataatua Society Incorporated

Refer to clause 4 of the Auckland Mataatua Society Incorporated rules which sets out that the principal purpose of the Society is to maintain the Mataatua Marae for the benefit of both Ngāti Awa, Māori generally and the many nationalities that utilise the marae. The ancillary objects of the Society are: • The promotion of Ngāti Awatanga; • Preservation of tikanga; • Educational purposes; • Wairuatanga; and • To alleviate child poverty
