To establish and maintain a fund for the promotion of education at Ashburton College by applying income (and where appropriate a portion ofthe capital thereof) to provide assistance to students of the College showing ability and application who would otherwise not be able to afford the costs of opportunities to enhance their education and further development. The trustees may also apply capital and income as theythink fit for or towards any objects or purposes which are charitable under NZ law
