To promote the Worship of God, the Holy Trinity, and to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God. To teach, baptise and nurture believers in the Christian faith. To respond to human need by loving service. To seek to transform the unjust structures in society. To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and to sustain and renew the life of the earth. The trustees hold the trust fund on trust to pay so much as the capital and income of the Trust Fund as the trustees think fit exclusively for or towards any one or more of the following exclusively charitable purposes which are declared to be the purpose of the trust: namely the earthquake repair and strengthening of the St Barnabas Church which is a Category 1 heritage building, the maintenance of the parish buildings, the funding of future capital projects for the parish and all things incidental to the charitable purpose as detailed above.
