Age Concern Palmerston North and Districts Charitable Trust

To benefit the older community in Palmerston North and surrounding districts by: providing services as the Board considers appropriate to support the needs & wellbeing of older people; acting as an advocate for older people with local bodies, government & other parties in matters affecting the quality of life of older people; assisting, supporting, & encouraging groups in the community who are promoting, advancing, or responding to the needs & general wellbeing of older people; promoting a network among community agencies, statutory bodies, voluntary agencies, & individuals, who are working with and for older people; establishing & maintaining an information and advice centre to assist, support & encourage older people; providing a forum to unite groups and individuals around areas of common interest or concern; encouraging and developing new initiatives for older people in response to needs; educating the public; encouraging older people in decision making; and encouraging research.
