Working at the Governance level often presents legislative barriers that require a high level of intelligence to navigate for the betterment of Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki. This keeps you sharp and focused on the business at hand. The highlight of 2024 was always beneficial for our whānau, with our wānanga held, where time was spent on Te Reo, Tikanga, history, and Hauora Māori. It is an excellent time for Board members to mix, mingle, and learn together. I have a background in health, and I am excited about programmes that can help us seek out the best health programme for Ngāi Tai ki Tāmaki.
