Dunedin Chinese Gardens Trust

The purpose of the Dunedin Chinese Gardens Trust is to apply the trust funds to or for any charitable purpose which will (a) support the Dunedin City Council in all aspects of the care of the Dunedin Chinese Garden including but not limited to: i. Governance of the Dunedin Chinese Garden; and ii. Maintaining the authenticity of the Dunedin Chinese Garden to enable it to remain an iconic Chinese cultural asset for all New Zealanders; and iii. Fundraising and iv. Maintaining the relationship with Dunedin's sister city Shanghai; (b) By use of the Dunedin Chinese Garden and other means, educate the general public on Chinese culture; and (c) By use of the Dunedin Chinese Garden and other means, promote the Chinese culture to the wider community; and (d) By the use of the Dunedin Chinese Garden and other means, honour our past, celebrate the present and provide enlightenment on our shared path to the future.
